A 21st-Century Blueprint

New Old Money

How to become the first person in your bloodline to build generational wealth.

New Old Money book cover

The Premise

Old money does not hand down money. It hands down a system. Most people are the first in their family to try to build one. This book is that system, rewritten for how wealth is actually built now.

The Through-Line

The old principle. The new way to execute it.

Every rule the old families lived by still holds. What changed is the instrument. This is the argument of the entire book in six lines.

Trusts and estate structure
A modern, low-cost trust and beneficiary setup you actually maintain
Owning the land
Owning cash-flowing real estate and equity, not trophies
The family name
A personal brand and an audience that compounds attention into opportunity
The family bank
A documented lending and investing ledger between generations
Discretion
Quiet compounding instead of visible spending
Apprenticing the heirs
Teaching your kids to run a real business early

What's Inside

Four parts. Twenty-four chapters. One system.

The book moves in four movements, plus a foreword, from who you become to what you leave behind.

Part I: Mindset

Become

Wealth is built by a specific kind of person before it is built with a specific kind of asset. This part rebuilds how you see money, family, and risk.

  • Become the Black Sheep
  • F-You Money
  • The Three Levers

Part II: The Engine

Build

The mechanics of making money compound: income, ownership, and the allocation decisions that separate savers from owners.

  • Asset Allocation
  • The Three Levers
  • Cash-Flowing Assets

Part III: The Fortress

Protect

What you keep matters more than what you make. Structure, insurance, and discretion that quietly defend the balance sheet.

  • The Financial Fortress
  • Trusts & Structure
  • Discretion

Part IV: The Dynasty

Pass On

Turning one balance sheet into a family system: the family bank, the heirs, and a plan measured in generations rather than quarters.

  • The Family Bank
  • The 100-Year Plan
  • Raising Heirs

Read the First Chapter

Become the Black Sheep

Somewhere in your family line, a decision was made to play it safe. To take the steady job, to spend what came in, to treat wealth as something other people were born into. That decision was rational at the time. It is also the exact decision you were quietly raised to repeat.

Becoming the first person in your bloodline to build real wealth requires breaking a pattern that everyone around you calls normal. You will be the one who does not upgrade the car. The one who reinvests instead of celebrating. The one who says no to the things that look like success and yes to the things that quietly compound into it. To your family, for a while, you will look like the black sheep.

Good. The black sheep is the one who leaves a different inheritance. What looks like stubbornness now is the first entry in a ledger your grandchildren will read. This chapter is about making peace with being misunderstood for a decade so that you are understood for a century.

Michael Biel, author of New Old Money

About the Author

Michael Biel

Michael Biel is a serial entrepreneur whose path has run from professional wedding photography, to a tech startup fittingly named Blaqk Sheep, to founding Biel Watches. He wrote New Old Money because somewhere along that road he saw through the veil between what we are told is possible and what we are actually capable of building. He was raised the way most of us are, taught that the safe road was the only road and that anything else was too risky. But something in him always knew it did not have to be that way. That quiet refusal is what started his journey, and it is why he wanted to hand this blueprint to others who feel the same pull.

Michael believes the black sheep always becomes the founder, and that anyone with enough hunger can be the first in their bloodline to build wealth that lasts a hundred years. He is honest that he is still walking the road himself, applying these principles in real time rather than preaching from the finish line.

He resides in New York with his beautiful wife, Rebecca, and their three children, Cameron, Addison, and Nathan. They are his north star, greatest source of purpose, and the reason he is so passionate about building a legacy that lasts.

Questions

Before you begin.

Is this financial advice?

No. New Old Money is education, not advice. It explains a system and the reasoning behind it; it does not tell you what to buy or do. See the disclaimer in the footer, and speak with a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

Do I need money to start?

No. The book is written for the first person in a family to attempt this, which usually means starting with little more than income and intent. The early chapters are about mindset and mechanics that cost nothing to apply.

What format is the book?

It is available on Amazon in two formats: Kindle (eBook) to read on any device, and paperback. The companion toolkit is a set of PDFs and one Excel workbook you download separately and keep.

Are the worksheets really free?

Yes. The Companion Workbook, the Wealth Toolkit, the Checklist Pack, and the Blueprint are free in exchange for your email. No spam, unsubscribe anytime.

Who is this for?

Anyone trying to be the first in their bloodline to build lasting wealth: earners, owners, and parents who want to hand down a system rather than just a sum.

Is this about crypto or get-rich-quick?

No. There are no schemes, no timing, no hype, and no income claims. It is a patient, boring, durable approach to building and passing on wealth.
